In 2012 CEW is delighted to be able to offer a total of 19 scholarships. This is the largest number of scholarships the organisation has ever offered, and we do so due to the success of our major fund raising event, the CEW Annual Dinner and the generous support of our sponsors. These scholarships will be awarded to Australian-based women to attend a variety of Australian and international business schools and institutes.
The scholarships are designed for women at various stages of their careers, from new managers to senior executive level. In 2012, and for the first time, two scholarships for women working part-time will be offered. CEW aims to attract applicants from across a range of sectors including corporate, not-for-profit, SME’s and government.

Three scholarships – Leading for Results, INSEAD Business School, Singapore. Applications have now closed.
A unique 5 day development program that provides experienced managers with crucial skills for leading people in a global business environment. The program will equip you with concrete strategies for transforming your leadership abilities. You will learn how to communicate a compelling vision that will inspire others to perform beyond their own expectations. Link to Insead website.
Three scholarships – Learning to Lead, INSEAD Business School, Singapore. Scholarships Awarded: Congratulations to Elisha Larkin, Sylvia Preda and Suzie Riddell.
This three day program is designed to support new leaders in the critical transition from being an outstanding individual contributor to being a leader of others. It is aimed at people who will be taking their first management job in the next year or who have taken it in the last two years. The course is designed to help you understand the nature of this transition and develop the critical people skills that can bring greater long-term career success. Link to Insead website.

The CEW Leaders Program provides participants with a unique opportunity to share and learn from theirs and others experiences, discuss issues they are facing, review personal priorities and gain new insights and strategies to achieve their potential as leaders. CEW members and other senior executives and board members both men and women participate and share their experiences with participants.

The successful candidates will attend The Women’s Leadership Forum: Innovation Strategies for a Changing World, at Harvard Business School (Executive Education). The Forum is designed to bring together an elite group of successful businesswomen to encourage innovation and enhance leadership skills. The Award covers the cost of course fees, accommodation, most meals and travel to/from USA and additional course related costs (up to $20,000).
Two scholarships – Negotiation Dynamics, INSEAD Business School, Singapore. Scholarships Awarded.
Negotiations are all pervasive and yet they often do not go as well as we would like. During the Negotiation Dynamics program you will look at some of the reasons for falling short of success and what can be done about them. In three intensive days, you will develop your personal negotiation style in a challenging, action-oriented international environment.
Four scholarships – Women in Leadership course, AGSM. Scholarships awarded. Two scholarships to women working part-time and two for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women. See press release re: Inaugural part-time scholarship and Aboriginal Scholarship.
AGSM Executive Programs have designed this course for those already in a leadership role with a high level of responsibility who aspire to become highly effective leaders. Participants will have already gained significant managerial experience and are looking to grow leadership and change agent skills to achieve strong outcomes for themselves and their organisations.
One scholarship – Company Directors Course, AICD, for Not-For-Profit sector. Applications are now closed.
The Company Directors Course provides knowledge to help students understand board compliance, governance, ethical and performance issues. Attendees include directors, CEOs, and senior managers from Not-for-Profit organisations, private companies, public companies, public sector and government. The Company Directors’ Course particularly delivers tools to improve understanding of board governance. Participants value both the knowledge gained of the board and the director’s role as well as the engagement with other participants.
