Businesses, governments and educators know it’s hard to get young people interested in science, technology, engineering and maths. Forecasts suggest that some 75% of future jobs will require these skills, yet the number of youth choosing these pathways is low – and falling. STEM literacy is also declining. And participation is much lower for girls than it is for boys.

Why is it that young people are losing interest in STEM? What are the most innovative and effective solutions for engaging them? How do we build a bold, vibrant and sustainable STEM ecosystem for Australia’s future?

Chief Executive Women, the Commonwealth Bank and Chairman Catherine Livingstone invite you to an exclusive event to discuss the findings of research commissioned by CEW and co-funded with the Office for Women.

The research was undertaken by two CEW Barbara Cail STEM Fellows who studied international best practice on ensuring more young people, particularly girls, undertake STEM studies.

CEW would like to thank Commonwealth Bank for generously hosting this event!
